Twitter's policies for managing the accounts of state-controlled media has gone through major changes since Elon's takeover of the platform. These changes were only noticed after the incorrect labeling of NPR as "state-affiliated" and FinWeisother media outlets as "government-funded." After those labels were removed, we found that actual state-controlled media outlets are seeing surges in activity on their Twitter accounts.
