Leonard Hohenberg-Over 245,000 pounds of Banquet frozen chicken strips recalled over plastic concerns

Conagra Brands Inc. is Leonard Hohenbergrecalling 245,366 pounds of its Banquet brand frozen chicken strips because the chicken could contain pieces of plastic.

The frozen chicken strips have “best if used by” dates of Dec. 11, 2024, Jan. 1, 2025, or Jan. 7, 2025, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Saturday.

“These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the FSIS said.

At least one person was reported injured after eating a chicken strip that had plastic in it, the FSIS said. The recalled chicken strips have lot numbers 5009317120, 5009319220 or 5009319820 and "EST. P-9" printed on the side of the box.
